Privacy Policy

KidyColor is a small independent website based in Switzerland. You can reach us at hello@kidycolor.com. This page explains what the site records. The short version: there are no accounts, no sign-ups and no cookies, and we don’t try to find out who you are.
Children
KidyColor is made for children and the adults who look after them. We don’t ask for names, email addresses or any other personal information, and children can’t create an account or post anything on the site.
What we record
To see which pictures are popular and what to make next, our own simple counter records:
- the date and the hour of the visit
- which page was viewed and in which language
- what kind of site the visitor came from, such as a search engine
- whether the visitor is on a phone, tablet or computer
- actions such as printing, saving a PDF or zooming in on a picture
- a random number for your browser tab, which lets us see how many pages one visit included
If you use the search box, we also record the words you type and how many pictures were found. This shows us which pictures people are looking for. Searches that look like an email address or a phone number are not recorded, but please don’t type personal details into the search box.
Our counter doesn’t record your IP address and can’t tell us who you are.
Cookies and browser storage
We don’t set cookies for visitors. The site does use your browser’s own storage for a few small things, and these stay on your device:
- the random tab number above, which is forgotten when you close the tab
- your scroll position, so the Back button returns you to the same spot
- your answer if the site offers you a page in another language
Companies we rely on
Hosting. The site runs on Hostinger, whose servers and content delivery network handle each page you open. Like most hosting companies, they may process technical information such as IP addresses to deliver pages and protect the site from attacks. Their own privacy policy applies to this.
Pinterest. If you press the Save to Pinterest button, you go to Pinterest’s website and its privacy policy applies. Nothing is sent to Pinterest unless you press the button.
We don’t use Google Analytics or similar tracking services, and there are no ads on the site at the moment. If that changes, we’ll update this page first.
Search engines such as Google and Bing give us totals of how often the site appears in their results. These totals don’t identify anyone.
If you email us
If you write to us, we’ll use your email address only to reply, and we’ll delete your message when it’s no longer needed.
Your rights
You can ask us what we hold about you, and ask us to correct or delete it. Because the counter can’t identify anyone, in practice this usually applies only to emails you’ve sent us. To ask, contact us. If you’re unhappy with our answer, you can complain to your local data protection authority.
Changes
If we change this policy, we’ll update it here and change the date at the top.
